What is an Art Show?

The art show is where you can see and purchase science fiction related artwork. Artwork can be inspired by actual events such as comets flying by, shuttles taking off or landing, a favorite television series, a favorite movie, a favorite book, or the artist's own imagination.

Forms of items that appear in the art show include paintings, drawings, sculpture, masks, and sometimes, jewelry. Fabric art has also been known to appear in some art shows.

Typically, convention members bid on artwork that they are interested in and can afford. Each convention has their own rules on how you can bid on artwork, and whether or not they require a separate bidder number from your convention member number. Check the particular convention website for specific information.
