What is workmanship judging? Why would I want to do it?
Workmanship is how you put a costume together. The judging for workmanship involves taking a close look at how you put your costume together and examining any special techniques that you used.

This can involve examining the stitching, seams, and hems on garments by looking at the inside of the garment either on or off contestants, looking at how a prop was put together, or understanding a technique that you used.

Workmanship judging is a way for an individual to get recognition for a construction technique that they used. It gives people a way to brag or point out something special that they did, and allows them to earn an award for it if done really well.
